educatus™ Lesson 801486
 Animal Anatomy and Dissection:
 Dissection of the Rat 1
Introduction

Introduction

Educatus Scene 0 Visual: "Introduction" (Lesson Id 801486) The sequence describes the steps which are taken in the dissection of a rat, and is intended for students of 'A' level Biology. Short sequences and individual slides may of course be used to illustrate points in 'O' level Biology and Human Biology courses.

The slide sequence might be shown to a class before a dissection, either to demonstrate the steps in the process or to highlight the structures likely to be encountered during the process. The set could then be made available to the students during the dissection, either through a front-projection system or individual viewer, for example, 'Slide and See' units.

The sequence is not intended to replace the traditional dissection guide; rather, it enhances it.
