Educatus Scene 2 Visual: "lay back the skin" (Lesson Id 801486) The first step in the dissection is to lay back the skin. This is done by pinching a skin fold in the midventral line and making a cut, which is continued forwards to the level of the lower lip and backwards around the genitals. The lower scissor blade (which is within the skin) must be kept horizontal so as not to damage the body wall beneath.
